The Public Policy Project assists individuals, institutions and communities
to understand and influence policy and engage the policy making process.

About

The Public Policy Project is a consulting and training partnership of Loren Niemi and James Trice, with seven years of shared experience and over 40 years of individual work in community organizing, strategic communications, organizational development and race/diversity programming.

The Public Policy Project has conducted a variety of services including our basic four month long Public Policy Training program that facilitates the education of low-wealth individuals and people of color to understand and actively participate in the policy making processes that impact their lives and communities.

We offer a nonpartisan focus on the how and why of decision-making at state, regional, local and organizational levels. We challenge end-users to harness their passion or anger into making meaningful long-term personal, structural and policy based change rather than focus on immediate or individual problem solving. We take participants through guided sequences of dialogue, learning and hands-on practice to de-mystify the policy making process and build the foundation for active citizenship and leadership.
